Book Introduction

After my last book 52 titled All My MAS Books! www.createspace.com/6306051 and the last book on the series Between Us Only! titled Wipe My Tears! www.createspace.com/4304972 – I became very sick and was admitted in Royal Hospital in Oman from November 2015 to January 2016 when I was operated for Prostate Operation – thankfully malign!

I lapsed into a Coma State in ICU – Intensive Care Unit EER – in December 2015 and was there for more than a month!

Unknown to me at the time, there was a Court case placed against me by One International Home Bank against my defunct Consultancy – Management & Marketing Development Consultancy – MMDC – which had collapsed and gone bankrupt in January 2001 – that is 15 years ago – and still being followed and being traumatized to date!

The TRUTH be told also –

SIMPLY NO ONE had contacted me from the Bank or from anyone else!  For Plus 12 years!

Today I have LOST MY PERSONAL FREEDOM and Civil Status too – sadly to the Most Committed Loyal True Feeling Sincere Citizen and National. My GMC Yukon they refused to renew The Mulkiya which expired since April 2016.

I am just paying The PDCs and if I do not another issue will arise. This Bank has billions to offer Big Cmpanies but they still go to Retired Omani Pensioners with a vengeance drawing blod from stone! Al Hamdu Lillah!

Oman & The World Please Note!

Nothing has changed much in Oman despite all my writings in my columns and books – the columns that ran for more than 15 years before being targeted and killed off in 2013 – on a technicality – but frankly I think more on their designs policing to subdue people speaking The Truth! The games of The Mafias usually run and led by sadly our Indian friends dominating The Media in Oman – and tragically more by our own Omanis – The Old Guards!

The articles in this book are mainly centred on the above aspects as now being denied the public route through my Oman Daily Observer in my columns Between Us Only! and At My Workplace!

I decided to add this book 53 to my series of books – with due apologies to The Reader that the emphasis and concentration in this book was what was happening to me at the time – and to compile the subjects topics under this book 53 – That Is The way It Is!

When people cannot expect justice because you have No Wastah or with being famous and rich – then writing to your own heart and conscience is the only way left!

Prophet Nabii Daud David RA Sura Sad 22 – 26.

  1. We made his kingdom strong and gave him Al-Hikmah (Prophethood, etc.) and sound judgement in speech and decision.21. And has the news of the litigants reached you? When they climbed over the wall into (his) Mihrab (a praying place or a private room,).22. When they entered in upon Dawud (David), he was terrified of them, they said: “Fear not! (We are) two litigants, one of whom has wronged the other, therefore judge between us with truth, and treat us not with injustice, and guide us to the Right Way.23. Verily, this my brother (in religion) has ninety nine ewes, while I have (only) one ewe, and he says: “Hand it over to me, and he overpowered me in speech.”24. [Dawud (David)] said (immediately without listening to the opponent): “He has wronged you in demanding your ewe in addition to his ewes. And, verily, many partners oppress one another, except those who believe and do righteous good deeds, and they are few.” And Dawud (David) guessed that We have tried him and he sought Forgiveness of his Lord, and he fell down prostrate and turned (to Allah) in repentance.25. So We forgave him that, and verily, for him is a near access to Us, and a good place of (final) return (Paradise).26. O Dawud (David)! Verily! We have placed you as a successor on earth, so judge you between men in truth (and justice) and follow not your desire for it will mislead you from the Path of Allah. Verily! Those who wander astray from the Path of Allah (shall) have a severe torment, because they forgot the Day of Reckoning.Surah Sad – Nabii Daud RA The Holy Quran

About The Book!

This book 53nd is The Sequel to my earlier 52 books to date!

After my last book, I was admitted in Royal Hospital for a Prostate operation that ended me falling into a coma state in ICU – Intensive Care Unit – EER – for almost a month! See B – The Prophet’s Dream!

The book ontains all the articles and topics that I had posted in My Websites Blogs and The Social Media since the 52nd book.

The book can also stand on its own to describe all my 52 books to date! 6 books on Arab Management, 3 on Road Safety, 6 on My Autobiography (The Story of My Life!) – 12 on my Columns Writings ‘Between Us Only!’ and ‘At My Workplace!’ and the rest on assorted topics!

  • It is hard to beat a person who never gives up! – Babe Ruth
  • Writing is the only profession where no one considers you ridiculous if you make no money! – Jules Renard

The book is a bird’s eye view on all about all my books and from all my varied articles to date! The books produced here are in main part linked to me as Majid aka as Magic – Magic Man as the pseudonym I used in ‘The Forums’! Also interestingly the article – Why Do They Call You Magic? Also Who Is Majid? And My Epitaph! The articles are also about My Family and My Late Parents – Peace Be Upon Them!

I hope you will like reading about me!

People were always asking me – Why don’t you write a book about yourself and all your books as at one stop centre? The story of your life? All about your books! So people can remember you and your works – and as a Memory and Record for all your works to date!

I then decided to accept the challenge and write this book. Like the other books – I have tried to be as factual as possible – and with my usual style of writing of speaking to you directly from my heart – and to be as sincere, genuine, frank, forthright as possible – so that this book can not only be used in Research works – but as a Guide and Beacon for the children, grandchildren, great grandchildren – and future generations by the Grace of Allah God – Ameen Amen.

Prophetic Supplications for Trials

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “The supplication of my brother Dhun Nun (Yunus, peace be upon him), who called on Allah while in the whale’s belly: ‘There is no deity but You. Glory be to You! Verily, I have been among the wrongdoers’ (Quran 21:87) – no Muslim person says it, for any situation whatsoever, except that Allah Most High answers his call.” [Tirmidhi]

New Book – Between Us Only! The Sequel – 3!

The Book Extended Description

BOOK 3 - ID 4153263

Between Us Only! The Sequel – Three! has been adapted from Majid Al Suleimany’s successful newspaper columns in The Oman Daily Observer. Utilizing the very best work from the columns he penned over the past four years, Al Suleimany touches on a wide variety of vital and riveting topics. The subject matter will be of interest to everyone from teenagers to grandparents, and from humble clerks to CEOs.

Between Us Only! The Sequel – Three! focuses on the study of humanity, human needs, human interaction, society, and economics, as well as other areas. In fact, the author covers all socio-economic-political aspects of society, with an emphasis on working environments such as office space.

The author also addresses society as a whole, and the dire repercussions and consequences of bad ideas and thoughts that can be harmful to society in the broadest sense. Though many topics apply to Oman and GCC countries, the collection of columns organized by Al Suleimany offer a universal appeal because, in his view, society and family are quite similar.

According to the author, “We have the same needs, worries, concerns and fears—as well as what we like and do not like. This is because the human being is essentially the same—regardless of race, creed, religion, color, ancestry, and ethnicity!”

The book will encourage soul-searching, deep analysis, and a quest to make the world a better place. It has been penned directly from the heart of the author to the reader. It carries many emotional personal family stories and encounters—including work experiences as a highly-qualified human resources management consultant.

The book moves quickly, advancing without boundaries, and is careful never to get bogged down in politics. While critical, the writings are also realistic and practical, and stress the need in society for change in a way that will foster more patience, tolerance, and understanding.

Yet Between Us Only! The Sequel – Three! is not without controversy. For readers who wish to study Arabic (and Islamic) approaches to the Middle East, the West, and other religions, the book makes excellent references relating to the post-September 11 world. The increases in religious fundamentalism and radicalization in society, and the fact that many youngsters are on board with these aspects, are also taken to task.

The author, through his writings, offers up a tome that is part prayer and part preaching, desperately hoping for a change in the world that will produce a new and more positive direction. “Live and let live in peace, harmony, and co-existence,” is Al Suleimany’s mantra.

A     The Still Angry Youth!

After my article on The Writer’s Block few weeks back – I witnessed this incident which propelled me to remove the fear of writing – and writing once again!

I had bought a new washing machine – and it was being brought to my villa in Qurum Heights. As I was directing the 3 ton truck to reverse into my villa – this young Omani Driver was reversing very fast – and he nearly ran into me and my villa gate. He came with two Indian Handymen Helpers.

I started to rebuke him as to why he was driving this fast – and as if this was a saloon car? He curtly replied to me that he did not see me clearly. Then he started speaking in Hindi to the two Assistants – saying that these rich people – even our own – are ridiculing us like this – because I am a poor Driver.

I am not a fluent Hindi speaker – but I hear the lingo. So I told him in Arabic – please be grateful to Allah you have a job still – because if I were still in the Offices – you will be given a Final Warning Letter the way you are driving!

This seemed to shake him quite a lot – and make him come to his senses! Especially after I had told him that with his Secondary Education – he should be thankful to Allah God that he has the job – and with many youngsters – even with College Diplomas – still looking for jobs!

B     The Officials

In my article last week also – I had written on the Offices scenarios   In my article last week I had written on the Offices scenarios  – What shocked me the most is these elements of wanting to control, dominate and subjugate in the old days methodologies – and in the old guards doctrines – from the higher levels – even to a fellow educated, qualified and experienced fellow peer Omani!

But allowing flexibility and freedom to the expatriate clans – and not your own! Like I always like to say – Like that General shooting at one’s own troops – metaphorically speaking here!

Truthfully and honestly speaking – many of my articles I have been writing in these columns and in my books are mainly Offices based – that is in the Private Sector! There are few instances for me to go to the Public Sector offices – and there are some places that I still try my level best to still avoid – unless I really need the service – and my presence is required.

From what I have seen so far – nothing much has really changed – if I remember my own articles on the few ones that I did write this sector about before. Despite all the changes around us now! Because we are still not hearing people speaking to us – and or seeing the things they are saying to us – and not even allowing them to talk to us now!  That is still the sad and tragic part!

What makes it all worse is now we have all the new methods of communicating – like websites, Internets and Hotlines – restructuring and reorganising – but nothing else has changed much. You still find the envious and the jealous ones – the old guards – angry at all others – and their usual mentalities, focuses and attitudes that have remained mostly just the same.

It is not looking down at anyone – but the clerk there or similar is still the most powerful element that you will ever meet in your life – and who can turn your life into hell – and even lose your rights to move and be mobile – and your infringement on human rights – and your own personal freedom even!

The more sad and tragic part is that there is simply nothing that you can do about it. The more twirl and complain you do – the worse your situation will get. That is till a stage will be reached when you are just need to bear it – take it in – and just like one is under torture.

Or people to just go silent with the silent majority. And to be like that cinder fire that is burning intensely and heatedly underneath – and it will take just a small spark to explode it all – and as we had seen alive and still going – of starting with only the elements of the students graffiti.

Actually, those Central Points – and other Departments – that are supposed to deal with the citizens’ frustrations, grievances and complaints need to do their jobs properly, professionally, and ethically – instead of the usual  ‘no-hear’ – and or pass the buck to others!

When a few of these culprit officials start losing their jobs – or positions and privileges – the rest will follow in suit. Otherwise there will be no change – and drag the rest of us all into decadence, malaise and disasters!

People are restless, unhappy and still suffering –  within quietly!

Not to sound melodramatic – this is going to be my last article on this particular topic. After this – I will only write on lesser topics only!

May Allah God Protect and Preserve us all – Amin Amen

Suicidal Tendencies – At My Workplace! Reply

At My Workplace!

OUTLOOK – The Oman Daily Observer

 Suicidal Tendencies!

  • “My poor cousin,” said the town mouse, “you hardly have anything to eat! I do believe that an ant could eat better! Please do come to the city and visit me, and I will show you such rich feasts, readily available for the taking.”Aesop fable of the Country and Town Mouse.
  • Not all that glitters is gold – Anon

Please will forgive me for dramatizing and going morbid and being so melodramatic – but I have this inner feeling that out there in the streets there are now great tendencies of what can best be classified as people being on the warpath! Or are just being suicidal to say the least!

The other day this fast coming car – with more than 5 youngsters inside in this small car – were trying to get in between my 4WD and a bus on my right side. It would have been alright if I was in the fast lane and blocking them – but I was in the middle lane and going at normal speed limit – and so was the bus on my right side. A bicycle could not even get through the space – let alone a car!

They did not seem to care at all – as if they were going for a mission impossible trip – if not a suicidal one at that! It is okay if you want to kill yourself – or hurt and injure – pain and maim – but why should you take yourself along with other innocent people – and who are driving just safely, carefully and defensively?

In all my columns unless proved otherwise – I have and still propagate this great theory of mine that the way people drive on the roads nowadays – for both Omanis and even Expatriates for that matter – is linked to the level of unhappiness and dissatisfaction levels. As in my columns, I believe that this is linked more with the Offices environment – followed by family, environmental factors and others.

I was looking at the Global Happiness Index and I note that there are hardly any countries from the MENA areas classified in the top lists – if any consolation is that there are other countries that fare much worse than us!

Last week I was reading this magazine titled Campaign Against Suicide. The campaign is mainly targeted for the residents and guests – and mainly of Indian origin. The article shows 32 expatriate suicides committed alone for the period from January 1st to end of April 2012.

It studied the suicide patterns, the causes and fallouts in order to have a better understanding of the phenomena. The campaign aims at visiting the Labour camps, offices and homes – through discreet means in order to encourage those with such suicidal tendencies to have and get a feeling of belonging – being appreciated – and to come out in the open!

And those are the key words. The truth is that such suicides include all ‘classes and categories’ of people – from students, nurses, teachers, businessmen and labourers. The only part we come to hear are those ‘successful suicides’ – but there are many others that ‘have failed’ – and go hidden and unreported – as it being an embarrassing taboo subject.

I wrote about this morbid subject even from June 2003 with the title ‘Why do they do it?’ – with a woman – a related one too – that I still cannot comprehend from hanging herself – all because of perhaps a family tiff and dispute. With the son growing up saying ‘I will kill my father one day!’ – because the son blames the father for the bullying and aggression.

As a Columnist, I get many email letters from especially the expatriate wives that are not happy at home – though it may ‘shock and awe’ many that their husbands have well-to-do high profile jobs – live in decent places etc. And it all has got to do with the wives being professionals – and are not allowed to work by their husbands and or legally – and or cannot just find jobs.

All IMAGES FOR DEMONSTRATION PURPOSES ONLY!

Just go and visit the ‘Situation Wanted’ columns in the newspapers – and see how many female job seekers are there on ‘family visas’ – qualified and looking for jobs. It is a bloody shame – because both they and the country can benefit – than by bringing in more new expatriate staff – and just adding to the phenomena!

When I had my Consultancy, I had ladies with Doctorates PhDs staying at home as house wives – and in some cases if they were employed they could even be bigger bread earners than their own husbands even! And tongue in cheek speaking – some of the ladies are really presentable and pretty – and perhaps of this reason – have jealous and envious husbands that do not allow them to go to work!

These unhappy and dissatisfied women are more prone to be suicidal – especially if the marriage is arranged – and the husband spends all his time from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. in the offices – and also worse off – if he does not know how to be patient and tolerant – and treat his wife and family well.

Please forgive me for bragging and ‘blowing my own trumpet’ but there is big vacuum in the offices of ‘trust and delegation’ – when the boss does not trust anyone – and never delegates – ending for him doing all the works – even the menial ones that can easily be entrusted and done by his subordinates!

In my book Psychology of Arab Management Thinking! – www.myown-ebooks.com  I have given many examples – and I have myself become the victim of the circumstances – especially with bosses – who have been taught, educated and trained ‘to control and dominate’ others theories! The problem is across the board – though admittedly the Western boss fares a little better than the rest – generally speaking that is!

I still believe that things need to change first in the offices – otherwise they will drag the rest of us all into this cesspit pool – and the Losers will be everybody. People need respect, decency and good well-mannered treatments – and to have a feeling of belonging. As I always say – treat a person nice, decent and well – and he will try to bring the moon to you.

It is also a question of people waking up to the new realities now at our doorsteps – and learn to change and adopt fast – otherwise it will be as usual – Change before Change changes you! And we will never just learn – even if the ground below us is crumbling below our feet even!

God Help, Protect and Preserve us all – and our families – Amin.Amen

Take Care!

Arab Management: Far Deeper In Troubled Waters!

The Book Theme:-

1 A frank, honest, open and call-a-spade-a-spade no punch-spared, no barrels held stuff and no frills play book exposing

2 Still the ever increasing lack of ethics, principles, professionalism and tolerance in the workplaces.

3 With now ever more increased radicalisation, extremism and fundamentalising of the Offices environment and in similar to the overall similar fast changing facts of the ground in the region.

4 A Tell All As It Is in outlooks, approaches and focuses still prevalent and dominant.

5 It looks into the future in Prophecy and Prediction of what is expected and what is to come – immediately now, in the short term and in the future.

6 Others – Please see below

Addressing the increased extremism, fundamentalism, and still the ever increasing now lack of tolerance and forbearance in the Arab workforce, Author Majid Al Suleimany presents Arab Management: Far Deeper In Troubled Waters! Context and Perspectives – Arabian Management Series.

In three parts, the book concentrates on the management styles and aspects of the companies located in the Arabian Gulf Cooperation Council that encompasses Oman, UAE – United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

In deep self-analysis and in consciousness, it critically looks into and assesses any changes in particular – if any – in Arab Management – post The Arab Spring Uprisings that shook the countries in the region post January 2011 – after the First Arab Spring Uprisings in Tunisia with the self immolation of Mohamed Buazizi in Tunisia.

The book critically reviews, analyses, evaluates  and discusses the:-

v Changes in the Arab Management aspects (if any!) – post the Arab Spring Uprisings from January 2011 onwards.

v The far more and ever increased and widening divide between The Old Guards and The New Younger Graduates Intakes and Generation

v Lessons that have still not been learnt despite all the changes in the MENA Region in Arab Spring Uprisings.

v Still the ever ‘Ostrich Head in the ground’ – ‘Hard of Hearing’ and Push The Dirt under the carpet’ Management approaches – especially from the local environments, focuses and outlooks!

v The ever faster growing radicalization of the local staff – especially The Youth and in particular.

v Still some misbehaving expatriates – and the old guards locals!

v Unhappy, dissatisfied local staff

v Still more poor treatment of staff, especially by some Expatriate Management

v The ever more increasing extremism and fundamentalism in the offices

v Other sensitive and related issues

In Arab Management: Far Deeper In Troubled Waters! Majid Al Suleimany – an Arab Management Consultant, Advisor and Expert – focuses on what is particular about the type of Arab Management, its context and perspectives, and what is peculiar, special, or particular to that work in the context and in comparison to management styles of other nations.

Using personal experiences, examples, and illustrations, Al Suleimany exposes the new reality and truth and moves away from the trend and approach of hiding exposes the new reality and truth – and moves away from the trend and approach of hiding issues and problems.

“It is a unique book, written in a unique style. It is a soul searching and critical evaluation of one’s own people in the field. He extols the culture and importance of work in his religion and the pitfalls and lackluster attitude of the Managers in position about the Principles and Process of Management.” – Editor Features, The Observer

“Someone must have the guts and courage to write about this growing danger and phenomena with us here now – before it is too late for everyone!” – American CEO

“The book is critical but objective—and portrays the Arab mind and focus in its proper perspectives.” – Senior Omani Public Official

“Your writing is quite exceptional, informative, and gripping.”

– Omani High Official

“There is a great need for improvements and achievements in this particular arena —your book has tried well to cover all these to a very successful extent.” – British CEO

“Part of the problem of Arab Management is the inherited autocratic society we live in, and confronted by new Management concepts and innovation believing in freedom of expression, empowerment, delegation, transparency, ethics and accountabilities – and the clash between the two.” – Indian CEO

“Despite everything that has happened so far since the troubles started last year – nothing has changed much at the workplaces – if not for the worse in divisions between locals and expatriates – and in rivalries, polarisation, jealousies, envies – and lack of ethics, transparencies and professionalism” – A VP HR (Omani).

Even after some Public Officials have lost their jobs, nothing has changed much even in the Public Arena – Retired Public Official

 And so many others.

This will be a Tell-All – at whatever repercussions and consequences. Enough is Enough! Things cannot be allowed to go on like this – too many lies and deceptions already!

I am looking for partial sponsorship, financial backing and support especially from those who can – and believe in me – and in this planned new book!

New – The Road Safety Book – Novel Type – In Simple English. 1

The Road Safety Book – Novel Type – In Simple English.

Posted on April 6, 2012 by Majid Al Suleimany

April 9th 2012

NEW BOOK – The Road Safety Book – Novel Type – In simple English.

I am now writing my 6th book on Road Safety Stories.

The Book Plan – To write Short Emotional Stories that have happened to people because of Road Accidents! The book will be a novice first time type ever written in Oman as in a reading novel type format – written in the simplest of English – as it is envisaged that many of the Readers English is a second language (or third) after Arabic – and to make it easy for them to understand and comprehend – taking into account the importance of the subject to the increased number of road accidents and fatalities in Oman.

IMAGES FIR DEMONSTRATION PURPOSES ONLY!

Writing has always been in my blood and my hobby and passion.

Road Safety Article – 1990s

I wrote this article for Times of Oman in May 1994 titled – Stray Thoughts on Oman Traffic – and reproduced by PDO Al Fahal Magazine June 11 1994 titled – Drive Safely for the Sake of Family and Loved Ones! – See appended below

A Peoples’ Stories – All True Cases.

.The story must be about road accidents and had happened in Oman mainly.

  • To write about Road Traffic Accidents in a book format and using simple English language for all to understand and appreciate.
  • To put catching titles per story such as :-
  • Newly wedded died on road accident
  • Mother is still grieving!
  • Grandmother left alone in the house!
  • Utility bill syndrome
  • Full Family lost in the accident!
  • Bad timing to travel after midnight!
  • Wrong Job Relief causes agony!
  • Fast trip ended shortly!
  • No more singing in the rain!
  • Mother – Do Not Cry For Me!
  • You should have been firm with me Mum – now I am gone!
  • To make it interesting and true. And things that we have seen in reality happening in front of our very eyes.
  • To give accident account, possible causes and lessons learnt.
  • As the writer will have the full rights to lay out the story according to the flow of information
  • Ask people who have No Objections to write their own true stories with photos and blogs.
  • Include photos of as many car accidents and lessons to learn! Preferably in colour format.
  • We need to write this book in view of the high road fatalities and accidents – and starting with schools.
  • The idea can be expanded with a picturesque book for Primary Schools (Arabic also) in the future – but it will have to be in corporation with others (Arabic not that god for writing up!)

Any others

B How The Idea Originated!

It came some time back from an Omani General Manager (and a very good personal friend!) and whose Executive Secretary and the whole family perished in a road accident two years ago!

I knew the late girl well – see sample story appended.

This idea was given to me also by a good Indian Fan of mine as something worthwhile to consider to do with my Writing Skills and Experiences and taking it up from the Five Books already published by me.

See sample story here

C Issues

There are many issues to handle first – like people willing to talk first with you and their willing for their stories to be told? But with the right approach and tactics this can be approached in the right way for success.

Otherwise we will not use names but create our own names, initial, nome-de-plumes and pseudonyms

D Summary

The book can take off very well. I have a strong feeling on this one!

To be published in Oman as we may ask sponsors also from others like PDO, ROP, Newspapers etc – but the lesser the better! I want to own full rights and in publishing too.

I am looking for financial support and in monetary help and in financial more sponsorship.

Also if you know of any stories as above to share with me and other Readers

Or if people willing to come forward to share their own stories – as lessons for others to learn!

Or any views or suggestions that you may possibly have.

Let us not forget life is not permanent or forever – but we will be remembered for what we have done and contributed in this world SADAKA JARIYAH

Rest in Peace – RAW!

Peace Be Upon Her!

In Remembrance – Feeling Very Sad Today!

Wednesday February 9th 2011.

She had the most beautiful, enchanting and blossoming smile that you ever saw in such a pretty girl like RAW!

Always cheerful and helpful – people flocked in and out of her Office just to visit and talk to her! Always a kind word and gesture to everyone – if it was the last sandwich which she had to keep for herself – she would offer it to you and she would go without!

The old man went up the stairs to the offices as he was afraid of using the lift! He was a very angry man – he had received a wrong electricity bill that went to over a Thousand Omani Rials! His electricity was also disconnected! He had travelled all the way to The Head Office from the Interior – because he did not receive any cheers from the Branch.

He was shouting and addressing me – I had come in temporarily as The HR Consultant! How can my bill be so high? Last time I paid was less than OMR 20 (US Dollars 60)? I live with my wife and my two sons only in the small house!

Hearing the commotions, RAW stepped out from her Office. Abuuiiy! (Father!) Please come and sit down. She brought him water and coffee. Relaxed, the old man started crying! He was ashamed of himself – for shouting so loudly to so many others – and ‘making just a nuisance’ of himself! Do not cry Father she said to him. I will call the GM out of the meeting to see you just now!

Do not worry – she assured him – I will take care of you! And she did…. the old man got his electricity bill cancelled and the electricity returned – and a company car to take him home to his village 250 kilometers away. RAW also gave him Company Complimentary gifts – that is RAW for you – always caring and feeling for others! As a Consultant even for me – this was a great learning experience in kindness, care, feelings and in humanity – all RAW!

Wednesday February 9th 2011.

I was calling this good friend of mine a CEO of a National Company – and he gave me the ‘shock of my life’ to tell me that his Executive Secretary – and a First Class High Profile lady in my books had died as another casualty figure (statistics) just recently – after asking him how she was and having not received any emails from her for quite a while. I had covered this poor lady in My Books as one great person who had always stood by me in offering me support, kind words and in encouragement in my books.

I had never expected to cry again! For me I try best to hold back my tears very much. But failed miserably this time! I still fail whenever I remember her. This poor lady was amongst one of the ‘casualty figures and statistics’ that we read in the newspapers every day and week – without abating an eyelid – as the ‘usual stories’ we read in the newspapers. Or the usual pun – so what else is new?

I also did read this article by one Omani Columnist in the other newspaper titled Killer roundabout’ rings alarm bells in Mahdahby Fahad Al Mukrashi. Every week we see also in the newspapers about road casualty figures in the newspapers – but as usual in the coming story we never imagine or visualize that it could be someone we know well or related to.

It seemed that an Omani family of 5 adults and 5 children had decided to get into a saloon car and drive all the way to Abu Dhabi in UAE. They decided to have lunch there and then to return on the same day. At 21:30 hrs, the father of the family perhaps overlooked the Mahdah round about and caught by surprise – he panicked and braked sharply – and the car rolled over several times. Six members of the family died immediately but the father escaped with minor injury because he was wearing a seat belt and was awake and alone behind the wheels.

This is one girl that I really liked and admired – and was always a great fan and supporter of me. She was always encouraging and supportive – of me personally – my books and my writings. The happiest time she was when I dedicated some of her comments in my books and giving her complimentary copies.

She was always sending me nice warm supportive messages – like cheering your day or to make you smile messages. These always used to cheer me a lot – especially when I was feeling down and sad. She was always beaming with smiles and kindness. Pretty smiles full of blossom and enlightenment!

Today I am crying again of the sad news and the gap in my life now. She was a great lady and I miss her terribly!

She had a great sense of humour and tease! Once I asked her if she was interested to get married or what – or why not still. With her usual sense of humour and wit she replied – They are waiting for me to get a higher salary first before they proposed to me! My salary is still small to them!

May Allah SWT Rest her angelic kind soul in eternal peace in this world and the eternal – and open the highest heavens for her – Amin.

Inshallah I will always pray for her so long as I will live – Amin.

No More Wars – Please!!!!! 6

The Oman Daily Observer Features of

Sunday February 12th 2012.

Link to My Website – www.majidall.com

 Between Us Only!

No More Wars – Please!

In the end – no one will be spared – and everyone will suffer – in one way or the other!

Call me whatever you want – give me any colouring that you want or wish for me – but in the final analysis and juncture it is me who decides who I am really as M – and where I belong – my associations and leanings etc. Who I am as a person – the real me – my mantle – my outlooks – perceptions – focuses – attitudes – you name it! If you do not know me by now – you will never be able to do ever again! I am what I am – the real me – as M!

I have always called a spade as a spade – even if I end as The Loser- I fall down – but I gather myself – and rise up again. I never allow myself to lose – or be pushed down without a fight and a stand. I will rise up to the occasion – even if it may take time for me to do so – or give wrong signals that I am now surrendering – and have given up!

Forget what the politicians on both sides of the fence may say. Forget what some of the Leadership may say. Enough is Enough! We have had it to the core – and red lines have been crossed so many times – and now no longer – no more! We simply have had enough!

Images Destructions and Effecting human lives – the famous ‘collateral damages’ slang!

If people can never learn from past mistakes – past history – error in judgment and in decisions taken before – and being contemplated again – they will never learn now – and never will. Like Napoleon had said – and I keep repeating in my columns every time – Do not interfere with someone set to destroy himself! Or that famous Roman expression – Those that the gods are out to destroy – they make them not see, hear or speak!

We are supposed to be the smartest, brilliant and intelligent species on the face of the earth – but yet human beings still never fail to amaze and shock you – shock and awe! People will always let you down – disappoint you – to say the least here!

People now are just tired of being lied to – and always attempts to hoodwink and cheat them! They do not agree anymore to be taken for granted and as fools – and they will take in everything thrown to them – hook, bait and sinker? That people are so naïve and gullible that they will believe everything thrown to them – especially when you give it an air of authencity and reality surroundings – so they will believe what you are saying to them now? Especially when lied before – and what happened in other places.

Everyone for that matter needs to make his own house in order first – before you go on lecturing down to others! Or just issuing cautions and threats. Saying that sincerely and openly too! And please do be responsible – do not antagonize – and making things more worse than what they are already! Or make mountains out of molehills! Think out your words carefully – and realize its impact, repercussions and results – to others and yourself included too!

The message is very clear. We do not care who is right or wrong – who started it or not – who is to blame or not! Simply and smugly put – we do not need to have another war. We just have had enough!

Everyone is giving the same message – sit down together and talk – like intelligent, smart, wise, dynamic and pragmatic human beings are required to do so! Act your roles and responsibilities entrusted to you by your own peoples and humanity as a whole – for peace, stability, understanding, harmony and tolerance – live and let live – think outside the box – for the region, your own places and for the whole world!

 http://warisacrime.org/node/10442

See above website as an example of horrors of war. CAUTION – before you open it! You have been warned!!

Image War Destructions – Do it to others – and others do unto you! Or God Will!

Please act now – before it is too late for everybody! Take Care!

This article is dedicated to Late Dr. Donald Taeke Bosch – and his family. A great man came – and has now gone! May God rest his soul in eternal peace – in this world – and the next – Amin (Amen) – and may his family have the forbearance, patience and peace – as we all mourn his demise and departure from amongst us all. Now here is a best example of a great person and personality that we all can learn from – how to live together in peace, harmony, understanding and love – and we can all copy and emulate!

Psychology book critically reviewed shortfalls and out comings in Arab Management – and ways and means to improve and in changes required to overcome – and to be seen as successful and in winning!

The books are written from a personal perspective and context covering the Author’s over 35 years as a Management and Human Resources Professional, Expert, Advisor and Advisor in Oman and GCC.

Jobs For The Youth!

Not everything that glitters is gold! – Anon

A few weeks back I had said in my article We Need To Be Serious! – Quote – If you can circumvent the rules and regulations for your benefit – and the others are looking the other way – why not I ask you? Not only in that place but in so many other places too in Town! We Need To Be Serious!

But if even more senior jobs ‘reserved only for Omanis’ like Admin, PRO, Secretaries and Human Resources Managers are being done now openly by expatriates under fanciful names – why not? Incidentally and coincidentally if you go to the Professional Sites liked LinkedIn, you will see them brave enough to call themselves as just plain HR Managers – and nothing to be scared or to be afraid about!

I continued – Quote – There is something that I must also say and repeat here for the benefits of everyone – and I hope common sense, dynamism, realism, pragmatism and vision will come in!

First and foremost – there is no more this element of fear still running or even scantily – and secondly everybody is just fed up to the tilt!

And if you still think that the old games and gimmicks will still work in winning always – you have got it all wrong – and are just deluding no one but yourself only – and those near you! In desperation and last attempt and effort – last week I had written in the same column – Let The Strong Man Win!

Please do not tempt to scare me anymore now – because in the end we will all lose – some even sooner than the others! Perhaps I think I may need to quit now writing anymore for ever – because I always get hurt and pained in the end – and I end with a bloodied face – and swollen head banging it against brick walls! – Unquote.

Today Monday December 5th 2011 I was really elated and overjoyed as a son of the land to read this in the news – Quote Majlis panel to study status of job-seekers. New opportunities to be found … More Omanis likely to get jobs … – Unquote

Creating jobs for especially The Youth is a global dilemma and issue – and we find so many countries involved in this regard – and even some leaders like USA Obama directly involved personally in this. We see issues and aspects all over the Western World now – and we in The Middle East and rest of the world are catching up too!

In all my articles I raise the same issues and points – again and again. I strongly believe in this! In an interview with Oman Economic Review dated January 2000 (11 years ago) I think I gave very good advices to the Nation on aspects of Training, Development and Omanisation – titled Mind Matters!. The article is also reproduced here in my website above. I really wished that people had paid attention – and the same things I repeat in my two Arab Management books – www.majidbooks.com

A person who really cares and feels for you will tell you the truth and facts only – even if you will be cross and angry with him! And you may want to punish and hurt him – just because of his caring, feeling and sincerity towards the causes at hand – and you especially! But my articles Let The Strong Man Win – We Need To Be Serious – This Is Goodbye – are all demonstrative and examples of me now wanting to give up talking any further – and to join the Silent Majority as we will watch things continue to unfold in front of very eyes!

One thing that needs to be said also here – Communications does not have to be in Arabic only to pass on the theme and the messages – because sometimes even signals and body signs can do the trick in communications per se!

We especially the Arabs have this big issue that needs resolving. Apart from the usual rivalries, jealousies, polarisation and wrong judgments and stereotyping others, we fail to see, hear or simply speak – even if we have live examples just happened in learning and in lessons giving! And like in our histories – ‘killing the messenger of bad news’! And the usual approaches of some thinking they have ‘more rights than others’!

The point also to be made here – just because a person speaks fluent that Arabic is not necessarily that a most smart and intelligent person – and to be labelled as a really caring and feeling person either – and can even be an adversary and an enemy! They can do the most damage as the Israeli Arabs – for example as was in the Israeli army! And those speaking to us in English are not necessarily the opposite – or everything negative – to be ignored – and not to be heard. Allah Is Great – our nation is blessed with various experts and talents – all local too!

We need to wake up from the deep slumber we are (conveniently) in – now – than ever before – and before it is too late for everyone! Oman is a multi-racial and multi-ethnic society just like USA is!

Our destiny, legacy and future depend on it – and history and future generations will judge us by our actions – and also inactions!

Take Care!
