In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

[68.1] Noon. I swear by the pen and what the angels write,
[68.2] By the grace of your Lord you are not mad.
[68.3] And most surely you shall have a reward never to be cut off.
[68.4] And most surely you conform (yourself) to sublime morality.
[68.5] So you shall see, and they (too) shall see,
[68.6] Which of you is afflicted with madness.
[68.7] Surely your Lord best knows him who errs from His way, and He best knows the followers of the right course.
[68.8] So do not yield to the rejecters.
[68.9] They wish that you should be pliant so they (too) would be pliant.
[68.10] And yield not to any mean swearer
[68.11] Defamer, going about with slander
[68.12] Forbidder of good, outstepping the limits, sinful,
[68.13] Ignoble, besides all that, base-born;
[68.14] Because he possesses wealth and sons.
[68.15] When Our communications are recited to him, he says: Stories of those of yore.
[68.16] We will brand him on the nose.
[68.17] Surely We will try them as We tried the owners of the garden, when they swore that they would certainly cut off the produce in the morning,
[68.18] And were not willing to set aside a portion (for the poor).
[68.19] Then there encompassed it a visitation from your Lord while they were sleeping.
[68.20] So it became as black, barren land.
[68.21] And they called out to each other in the morning,
[68.22] Saying: Go early to your tilth if you would cut (the produce).
[68.23] So they went, while they consulted together secretly,
[68.24] Saying: No poor man shall enter it today upon you.
[68.25] And in the morning they went, having the power to prevent.
[68.26] But when they saw it, they said: Most surely we have gone astray
[68.27] Nay! we are made to suffer privation.
[68.28] The best of them said: Did I not say to you, Why do you not glorify (Allah)

Be Merciful for Allah SWT to be Merciful to You!

“Whosoever of you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand; and if he is not able to do so, then [let him change it] with his tongue; and if he is not able to do so, then with his heart — and that is the weakest of faith.” [Muslim]

“He who does not show mercy shall see no mercy (from his Lord).” “Allah is not merciful to him who is not merciful to men.”

Debt: Relieving the person in debt

Abu Qatadah related that the Prophet said: If anyone would like Allah to save him from the hardships of the Day of Resurrection, he should give more time to his debtor who is short of money, or remit his debt altogether. (Muslim)

Relatives who are needy

Abu Huraira narrated that the Prophet said: The best charity is that which is practiced by a wealthy person. And start giving first to your dependents. (Bukhari)

Salman ibn Amer reported that the Prophet said: To give something to a poor man brings one reward, while giving the same to a needy relation brings two: one for charity and the other for respecting the family ties. (Ahmad, Ibn Majah, Nasai, Tirmidhi)

Stinginess

Jabir reported that the Prophet said: Avoid doing injustice to others, for on the Day of Judgment, it will turn into manifold darkness, and safeguard yourself against miserliness, for it ruined those who were before you. It incited them to murder and treating the unlawful as lawful. (Muslim)

One hadith in particular that underscores this message comes from a collection called An-Nawawi:

Whosoever removes a worldly grief from a believer, Allah will remove from him one of the griefs of the Day of Judgment. Whosoever alleviates [the lot of] a needy person, Allah will alleviate [his lot] in this world and the next. Whosoever shields a Muslim, Allah will shield him in this world and the next. Allah will aid a slave [of His] so long as the slave aids his brother.

The Holy Quran 2:278 – Baqarah

O you who have believed, fear Allah and give up what remains [due to you] of interest, if you should be believers.

The Holy Quran – Baqarah – 2:279

And if you do not, then be informed of a war [against you] from Allah and His Messenger. But if you repent, you may have your principal – [thus] you do no wrong, nor are you wronged.

The Holy Quran – Baqarah – 2:280

And if someone is in hardship, then [let there be] postponement until [a time of] ease. But if you give [from your right as] charity, then it is better for you, if you only knew.

And fear a Day when you will be returned to Allah. Then every soul will be compensated for what it earned, and they will not be treated unjustly.

Book Introduction

After my last book 52 titled All My MAS Books! www.createspace.com/6306051 and the last book on the series Between Us Only! titled Wipe My Tears! www.createspace.com/4304972 – I became very sick and was admitted in Royal Hospital in Oman from November 2015 to January 2016 when I was operated for Prostate Operation – thankfully malign!

I lapsed into a Coma State in ICU – Intensive Care Unit EER – in December 2015 and was there for more than a month!

Unknown to me at the time, there was a Court case placed against me by One International Home Bank against my defunct Consultancy – Management & Marketing Development Consultancy – MMDC – which had collapsed and gone bankrupt in January 2001 – that is 15 years ago – and still being followed and being traumatized to date!

The TRUTH be told also –

SIMPLY NO ONE had contacted me from the Bank or from anyone else!  For Plus 12 years! 

Today I have LOST MY PERSONAL FREEDOM and Civil Status too – sadly to the Most Committed Loyal True Feeling Sincere Citizen and National. My GMC Yukon they refused to renew The Mulkiya which expired since April 2016.

I am just paying The PDCs and if I do not another issue will arise. This Bank has billions to offer Big Cmpanies but they still go to Retired Omani Pensioners with a vengeance drawing blod from stone! Al Hamdu Lillah!

Oman & The World Please Note!

Nothing has changed much in Oman despite all my writings in my columns and books – the columns that ran for more than 15 years before being targeted and killed off in 2013 – on a technicality – but frankly I think more on their designs policing to subdue people speaking The Truth! The games of The Mafias usually run and led by sadly our Indian friends dominating The Media in Oman – and tragically more by our own Omanis – The Old Guards!

The articles in this book are mainly centred on the above aspects as now being denied the public route through my Oman Daily Observer in my columns Between Us Only! and At My Workplace!

I decided to add this book 53 to my series of books – with due apologies to The Reader that the emphasis and concentration in this book was what was happening to me at the time – and to compile the subjects topics under this book 53 – That Is The way It Is!

 Prophet Nabii Daud David RA Sura Sad 22 – 26.

  1. We made his kingdom strong and gave him Al-Hikmah (Prophethood, etc.) and sound judgement in speech and decision.21. And has the news of the litigants reached you? When they climbed over the wall into (his) Mihrab (a praying place or a private room,).22. When they entered in upon Dawud (David), he was terrified of them, they said: “Fear not! (We are) two litigants, one of whom has wronged the other, therefore judge between us with truth, and treat us not with injustice, and guide us to the Right Way.23. Verily, this my brother (in religion) has ninety nine ewes, while I have (only) one ewe, and he says: “Hand it over to me, and he overpowered me in speech.”24. [Dawud (David)] said (immediately without listening to the opponent): “He has wronged you in demanding your ewe in addition to his ewes. And, verily, many partners oppress one another, except those who believe and do righteous good deeds, and they are few.” And Dawud (David) guessed that We have tried him and he sought Forgiveness of his Lord, and he fell down prostrate and turned (to Allah) in repentance.25. So We forgave him that, and verily, for him is a near access to Us, and a good place of (final) return (Paradise).26. O Dawud (David)! Verily! We have placed you as a successor on earth, so judge you between men in truth (and justice) and follow not your desire for it will mislead you from the Path of Allah. Verily! When you fail to get your Haqq Rights and Justice on earth surely on The Day of Reckoning in front of Allah SWT God Al Mighty you will get it there where you need it more and where those responsible from Head of Courts Judges Banks Leadership wii be brought forward for Due Punishment – and could start on earh first then punishments in their graves too. This book 53nd is The Sequel to my earlier 52 books to date!

    _On the last day of Sha’ban Rasoolullah صلي الله عليه وسلم addressed us and said:_
    *(regarding Ramadhaan)*..
    This is a month, the first of which brings Allah’s mercy, the middle of which brings his forgiveness and the last of which brings emancipation from the fire of Jahannam.
    Whosoever lessens the burden of his servants in this month, Allah will forgive him and free him from the fire of Jahannam. _*(Bayhaqi)*_g>

This Ramadhan (2012) I got a nice message for the month from one person. The number was not registered in my Mobile – but I decided to accept the nice message and send one back in reciprocity! Unfortunately, the person decided ‘to spoil it all’ by asking me if I really knew from whom the message came from? And asking me to ‘keep trying to guess’! I politely declined ‘the offer’ – and had decided to just register the person as ‘Sender Good Ramadhan Message’!

That was not enough for the person – because he did not give up! I guess the reason was ‘he or she thought I would be very much surprised to receive this kind of message from him! It seemed to me that the person ‘was keen to be found out’ – so we can take it off from that level! But if you are not telling – who am I to push you to come forward and tell me?

It dawned on me that this could be a person that I had crossed with and upset in the past – and he is making a subtle move to come forward – and say it in his own ways and styles!

The day before Ramadhan we had a family get together – because it was a long time since we had one together as one whole family – and also to celebrate some of the children finalists good examination results – and one or two who had got promoted – and of course with a new car to show the rest of us too – with the old bangers going over 7 years now – and cannot afford a new one still yet!

Frankly, I try to be ‘my level best’ in these types of social gatherings nowadays – and just to show you how bad things have now become in society – because definitely there will be one or two determined to get you pissed off and upset – for just some rice and morsels – and make the rest of your day to be upset and to be annoyed!

 

The thing that they can easily find fault to upset and annoy you is in your passion of writing – and nitpicking minor things to be made mountains from molehills on a driving pursuit and purpose to do their bit. They like to call it as ‘constructive criticism and feedback’ – but if you ask him to explain himself clearly in more details – than just the one sentence or two he picked out of context – he fails miserably!.

But then he will say to you that you are now becoming over sensitive – and the age element has definitely kicked in – for you to behave like this way! The question to ask here – if this can come within – who needs enemies outside? A famous Arabic expression says – rightly too! – A thousand enemies outside the house are better than one within! 

Things have gone so bad nowadays – because at Family get-together times even – you get people – after years and years of being sidelined and being marginalized – have now received promotions that have gone to their heads – being contemptuous, cynical, satirical and pompous! Looking down on others the lesser lucky and fortunate in life! 

Like I always like to say – a few more Baizas has changed the person completely – in an adverse – and negative way! That is why if I am not invited to any social gathering nowadays – it is not ‘sour apples’ – but honestly – I feel that the person has done me a good deed indeed! 

A friend of mine had sent me this saying – which I will share with you! The most testing time for a woman is when her husband has gone poor and broke – and for a man is when he has become rich and famous! He gives me his own life story as proof of what he is saying here – when he became astute poor –and with losing his position and job! With children even – and or no children either! 

So I messaged to the person – There is something that you perhaps do not know about me! I always try my level best to avoid conflicts as much as I possibly can! I also can promise you that I never cast (throw) the first stone either! But after cautioning you after several trespass and interferences – I can turn nasty to even shock you! I then come down charging – like a bull in a glass shop! Admittedly, some may even say – his reactions outdo his silence and patience at the outset. Taking it from the 90/10 principle of reacting to situations! 

As a Writer, Author and Columnist – I will be naïve and stupid not to realise that I have upset and annoyed people – and will continue to do so – so long as I keep writing on in my life! Even if I decide to stop – I will upset those who want me to continue – and even write much more than before! Like Louis IV had said – Whichever side I take or whatever I will do, I will still be blamed by the other side! 

In all my life and in my pursuits – I have always aimed to change the things I can do so by myself if I can do so – and if not – speak or write about it! In weak moments – yes – I have gone to the lowest levels in Religion – of saying – I am against this – but I am afraid – and have now joined in silence the Silent Majority! 

Like the unfairness and injustice being faced now by me – but there is nothing that I can do on my own – though have talked about it several times in my columns here!

In the spirit, graciousness and kindness of the Holy Month – I ask for forgiveness for those that I may have upset and annoyed – and even by default and inadvertently! I still believe to speak the truth always as I see it – and ready to change my mind if shown and or convinced otherwise! 

But I also feel deep in my heart and in conviction – body and spirit – that only a person that really cares, feels and does not want ‘things to go bad and or wrong’ – will tell you exactly what he thinks – for the general good, remedy, corrections, peace, harmony and for future generations, history, legacy – and for our destiny too. In that way you will forgive me too – for I will hardly change!

I was reading this article about the fire that had broken out last Monday at the nursery school in the Qatari capital Doha in the city’s Villaggio Mall. In a press conference held in the city on Monday evening – the Qatar’s Government confirmed that 19 had perished: 13 children, four teachers and two civil defence workers. A further 17 people were injured in the fire – four of them children and a number of civil defence workers.

No explanation over how the fire had started has yet been provided. The victims included people from Spain, Japan, the Philippines, Benin and Arab countries – not including Qatar, the officials said.

Two-year old triplets from New Zealand – Lillie, Jackson and Willsher Weekes – have also been confirmed as being among those that were left dead after this huge fire at this shopping mall. “Lillie, Jackson and Willsher came into this world together and were inseparable as siblings, best friends and the joy of our life,” the heart-broken and the tragic couple said in a statement to the Press at the place – and to consoling friends.

Amongst the alleged lapses (1) Mall employees not acting fast enough when the fire erupted – (2) Fire alarms did not go off or rang faintly – (3) No emergency exists at place of fire – (4) No drawings available – (5) The kindergarten was not known to have existed nor was legally sanctioned to be in this mall – (6) Some of the sprinklers in the mall malfunctioned and fire exit doors were locked – and several others.

It is definitely a great tragedy and one can but just imagine the terrible grief and agony that their parents – and the other victims’ families – are facing now – when such young innocent lives are swept away and lost in this way.

About two years back, I was going to this Mall to check on if any of my books were sold still yet at this shopping mall in town. I had written an article about this – because I forgot where I had parked my car. The Omani young boy and girl had really helped me out to locate the car – after pointing it out to them in the security cameras.

It was then easy for them to give me a lift in their car trolley to my parked car. What really impressed me the most was first for them to identify myself as the real owner of the car – and seeing all these cameras watching all the scenes going on – which I would assume there were no blind corners or invisible places not covered by the cameras! It was a great wake-up call for me on the realities and practicalities of life. Sometimes in life we think we know everything – and no one can fool us – but there is still out there far much to learn still – and catch up!

In the week before that we had the incident at Zakher Mall too in town. We see every day about places that have mysteriously have caught fires – and the usual culprit is blamed to be an electric short circuit. Like in many people – I used to be sarcastic and cynical on this – until I saw it live – at one of the places I used to work when the ceiling lights caught fire – presumably because they have been kept on running for too long – day in and day out.

Like we the Arabs like to say also always in this thing – from the stomach of evil came blessings – and that is how my last Arab Management book – A Cry For Help! – came into being – www.myown-ebooks.com. It was another wake-up call for me on human foibles, vanity and weaknesses – vileness, deceit and betrayals – and truthfully nothing more surprised me any more – even the ominous and sort of prophesied in the book one year later – the Arab Spring Uprisings – and thus the title of the book in a cry for help!

 

It is well understandable that some maybe asking at this particular juncture where is the relationship and the correlation between a mall fire and my books – and perhaps am just finding excuses to propagate and push my books at any possibility? Let me connect the dots and in explaining myself here – if you will give me the chance to do so!

The question that I need to pose here is this. Why do we take things for granted and for surety that nothing can or may happen – until it really does happen – and it does – and again we are caught surprised and unawares – again and again – and all go into fire-fighting and reactive mode? What is this curse on us now? Instead of being pragmatic and active – and as we all know prevention is far better than cure – and if even the cure will work – and if not too late already – or the damage and repercussions have already taken place?

How many times people have written about employees being unhappy at the workplaces? How many times people have written – and spoken too – about how we carry our young children to schools – and how they are being treated in schools too? Accidents about to happen – as the headings go! Even the nurseries and the kindergarten are not spared even! Even live photos and videos are shown – yet we do not still see! It goes in to one ear and out from the other! Till something dastardly and big happens – and the learning curve is again short lived. Till the next time!

There are same or similar situations existing in the Private Schools – and perhaps even in the public schools – and possibly in our own malls too. There are private schools in residential areas – and near homes of residences of people – exposing them to great risks and dangers!

Please forgive me because I am not an Engineer – nor an Architecture or HSE expert or advisor. All I know is writing job descriptions and human resources policies and procedures books. And columns and books – more as a hobby, interest and passion. I did not even attend book-writing or journalist courses – so even in that I just stumbled into writing – and cannot in the real sense of the world put claims to be an expert either!

But let us use some of the faculties given to us by The Lord – our common senses, brains, judgments, analysis and evaluations – our own consciences – of what is right or wrong – our intuitions and perceptions – and whatever else! Till a tragedy or happening will occur than reactively – after the event and in fire fighting – we are all then propelled into action and dynamism.

I personally think it is this fatalistic and do-not-care-a-damn – and do-not-want-to-hear-anything-from-anyone – and also this let-them-wait-and-suffer traits in all of us that is as the main cause of all the problems facing us now and with us – and will be far more with us – if we still continue in these ways and behaviours.

I also hold this my strong view that many of our problems today arise mainly from the ‘poor type and weak personality behaviours and characters people’ – that are in their positions now – not because they are good, competent and capable – but are there merely  more to ‘follow the line – not to rock the boat’ syndrome. They are there just to ensure to ‘keep the lid on’ – ‘just stays on’. They come with ‘killer instincts’ survival – like the sharks – that will attack anything coming near them – even their own – and even if not an adversary or enemy for that matter! Even that person who just wants to say Hello to him!

Lord Have the mercy on all of us – and Protect and Preserve us all – Amin Amen.
